🎸The nine, and how each one hangs

Two are basses. One will not stand in a rack at all.

1 Cream hollowbody electric with Bigsby

Electric

Rack slot or wall hanger. The Bigsby is a non-issue, the yoke holds the neck behind the nut.

2 Hohner dreadnought acoustic

Acoustic

Wide body. Wants a 13 in center on a wall rail, or an outside slot in the rack.

3 Takamine sunburst acoustic-electric bass

Bass

Deep jumbo body. Long-arm hanger on the wall (Hercules GSP40WB Plus, $27.49).

4 Fender Stratocaster, black, maple neck

Electric

Any slot, any hanger. No special handling.

5 Natural nylon-string classical

Classical

Wide lower bout. Wool felt contact only, which the A&S rails already are.

6 Black electric bass, pearloid pickguard

Bass

Long scale. Fits the rack, but check headstock clearance under the wall lights.

7 Amber cutaway nylon-string, bowl back

Classical

Will not sit safely in a floor rack. This is the instrument the $18.99 wall hanger is for.

8 Washburn electric, blue-green quilted top

Electric

Any slot, any hanger.

9 Black single-cut electric, Danelectro style

Electric

Any slot. Ari to confirm on inspection whether this one is a guitar or a bass.

Inventory all nine before anything hangs

  • Serial number for each of the nine instruments, into the gear inventory.
  • Condition note for each: finish, hardware, case, anything already damaged.
  • One photo each attached to the inventory record.
  • Both basses specifically: the Takamine sunburst acoustic-electric bass (item 3) and the black P/J bass with the pearloid pickguard (item 6).
  • Confirm item 9, the black single-cut Danelectro-style instrument. Guitar or bass has not been established from the photo.

Ten hangers on a shop-built walnut rail

Ten String Swing CC01K-BW hangers on one continuous solid walnut board, museum-lit. Add a Hercules GSP40WB Plus long-arm at $27.49 for the acoustic bass. Rail material runs roughly $250 to $500, not quoted yet. Turnkey runner-up is the String Swing SW10RL-K kit at $347.78, but aluminum slatwall reads retail.

Nine separate stands

Ten Hercules GS414B Plus at $61.49 each, or ten ash String Swing CC22 at $89.99 each for $899.90. Cheap and safe, but nine tripods eat the floor and break the line of the room.

🔍Used and local: nothing to buy

Craigslist Los Angeles and Reverb searched live on 12 September 2026. Facebook Marketplace, OfferUp and Etsy block automated search and were not covered.

Verdict The only genuine local find is two String Swing hangers in Tarzana at $10 each. Two hangers is not a system. No used A&S or Acoustic Remedy exists on Reverb today.
